I hope this Crescent finds you well. I have been elected and approved by the Alumni Board to spearhead an effort to advance the mission of our Beta Gamma chapter. Okay, perhaps this is just a fancy way to say that I will be chairing a fundraising effort that will be introduced in the coming months. You may ask, “Why me?” Well, that is a valid question, and it is one I have asked myself.

I do have experience in the fundraising world, in that, I served as vice president for mission support at Wartburg Theological Seminary for many years. For that reason, it was not difficult for me to consider and accept the role, and it excites me to think about what we will be able to accomplish on behalf of our beloved Beta Gamma.

I invite you to watch for further information on this project in the next several months. The initiative will include scholarship support as well as much-needed house improvements, and we will be utilizing new and exciting ways to give.
