Beta Gamma Mentor Program
The Beta Gamma Mentorship Program connects active members with AGR alumni to support personal, academic, and professional growth.
Built through the Platteville Alumni Association, this program strengthens alumni engagement while giving back to current members in a meaningful way.
Purpose
The mentorship program is designed to:
- Share real-world experiences and career insight
- Connect members with AGR’s broader alumni network
- Support career development and decision-making
- Provide a reliable sounding board for ideas and challenges
This creates a direct line between current members and those who have already navigated similar paths.
How It Works
For Alumni
- Submit a short bio to the program coordinators
- Be available for light, consistent communication (about once per month)
- Offer guidance, advice, and support based on your experience
- Help connect mentees with additional resources when needed
For Active Members
- Review available alumni mentors
- Select and reach out to a mentor
- Establish a connection and determine fit
- Maintain communication and take initiative in the relationship
Commitment
The program is designed to be flexible and manageable:
- Around 30 minutes per month (call, email, or in-person)
- Focus on meaningful conversations, not time requirements
- Built around mentorship, not obligation
Why It Matters
This program bridges the gap between college and career.
Members gain guidance from those who have already been in their position, while alumni stay connected and continue to shape the future of the chapter.
It’s a simple idea with a lasting impact: helping each other succeed.
